The Santee Cooper Lakes basin is awesome, for fishing and for the view! Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie are world famous for their landlocked striped bass, largemouth bass, crappie, bream and all types of catfish, all offering an exciting year round challenge to anglers. In fact, we hold some of the world record catches for some of these fish. Several national fishing tournaments are held on Lake Marion, including, FLW Stren Series, B.A.S.S. Masters Weekend, American Bass Anglers American Fishing Tour, Walmart Bass Fishing League, National Championship Catfish Classic and the South Carolina State Championship Catfish Tourney.
