Wyboo Plantation is located in the South Carolina midlands, eight miles from Manning and the I95 corridor. Interstate 95 bisects the county, making it an easy drive to Charleston, Columbia, Florence and Myrtle Beach. The southern border of Clarendon County is lovely Lake Marion. Our temperate climate (with all four seasons!) means that spring starts in March as azaleas begin to bloom--beaches are busy by mid-April. March is occasionally chilly, but days are warm from April almost to Christmas. Residents love the sunny fall, with little rain, rare temperature extremes and flowers that continue to bloom. Yes, there are cold days (20-30 degrees F) and, rarely, snow (which is usually gone before noon with no shoveling required). A light sweater or sport jacket is often enough for days between December and February. Downtown Manning is undergoing a wonderful revitalization to draw more businesses and capitalize on its history and historic buildings. The County Hospital in Manning is modern and staffed with caring professionals who are committed to providing the best care available. The generously stocked library will soon be enlarged due to increased demand. Area churches of all denominations welcome all who enter their doors. Several fine financial institutions and higher learning facilities are located in Manning. By 2010, the Clarendon County Community Complex will be completed and open to present plays, concerts and all types of entertainment. All these things make Wyboo Plantation in Manning, SC a great place to call "Home". |
